Sig­nal pro­cess­ing engi­neers are well aware of the fact that a poly­no­mial
is a nat­ural model for many antenna arrays. How­ever, this fact is not so well
known among math­e­mati­cians.

I will describe how the nat­ural rela­tion­ships between poly­no­mi­als and
anten­nas arise, and show how this leads directly to many inter­est­ing prob­lems
in pure math­e­mat­ics.
